Privacy & Legal Notice

In short

This quiz is a private, free fan project with no ads and no tracking. It processes as little data as possible – and none of it for commercial purposes. Deutsche Fassung hier.

What data is processed?

• Game progress, badges, statistics and settings stay exclusively in your browser (localStorage) and never leave your device. You can remove them at any time via your browser settings ("clear site data").
• Leaderboard: Only if you actively submit your score, the name you choose, your score, the level reached, game mode and date as well as your browser's language/country setting are stored on the server.
• Duel links: When you challenge someone to a duel, the link contains your name, your score and the questions you played. It is not stored anywhere – only you decide who you send it to.
• IP address: When you submit a leaderboard entry, your IP address is stored exclusively in hashed form to limit abuse (max. entries per hour). The original IP is not stored.
• Answer statistics: After each answer, the server anonymously counts how often that question was shown and how often it was answered correctly (for the "x% of players knew this one" hint). Nothing about you is stored: no name, no IP address.
• Game counter: When a scored game starts, the server anonymously counts how many games were started that day, in which mode and in which language. Only these totals are stored, nothing about you.
• Report a question: If you report a question as faulty, the server only stores which question was reported, in which language, for which reason, and the time of the latest report. No name, no IP address, no free text.
• No cookies, no tracking, no analytics tools, no sharing with third parties.

Hosting

The site and the leaderboard run on infrastructure provided by Cloudflare, Inc. When you access the site, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data (e.g. IP address) to deliver and protect the site.

Deletion

Want your leaderboard entry removed? A short message to the contact address below is all it takes.
